Happy 11th Birthday Otoreview.my

In 21 August, back in 2006, I created this Otoreview.my blog.  So Blessed 11th Birthday!

Back then, I was a 2nd year Uni Student with lots of free time and frustrated with Brief and Summarized Car review.  I started with Reviewing my Dad's ex-car.  Ford TX-3. Photo below:

Slowly, I did Magazine scans, like this: CARS.MY, Sheep vs Wolf .  Youtube playlists...  But what set My blog apart is it's Anti-Plagiarism one.  Even If I copied, I make sure I acknowledge OR Declare the source.

I'm very sorry to all readers and subscribers over lacking of Posting or update since 2015.  In fact, this blog is semi-active from 2014 onwards because it's a 1 Man show blog.  And the fact that I can't multi-task and short attention span means 1 blog entry, car review takes up to 6 hours.  I'm also contented that I produced 1000th post back in April.  

Also, recently, My blog was Cloned, so another setback.  Another factor's Conflict of interest.  I actually created Many car reviews like Kia Grand Carnival, Subaru XV, Kia Sorento and Sportage, VW Tiguan, Honda CR-V. But I can't post due to my work nature.  

I can only post Reviews on my own car, Hyundai and Mazda.  I review Perodua and Proton sometimes because it's a Rakyat car.

On this day, Exactly 84 months ago, back in 2006, I Jefferson Lim started this Blog you are reading.  It started off as Used car reviews and accessories reviews. 

 I gradually added News and Announcements, New car launching and reviews, Automotive Industry stuff, Classifieds, Gadget reviews, Magazine scans, VIDEOS++ review, COMPREHENSIVE TESTS and the lists goes on...

I would like to Thank my 2 MAJOR Advertisers, Google Adsense and Nuffnang Malaysia Aka. "Imotiv" for their quality ads tailored to my Blog posts.  A MILLION Thanks also to Google.com.my search engine for their SUPPORT by constantly placed my Blog posts/topic, blog photos on the FRONT or SECOND Page of Google Malaysia Search engine.  

Lastly, I'd like to thank you READERS and SUBSCRIBERS of this blog for your visits.  From today onwards, I decided to Make this BLOG Active like 2011 and 2012 again.  I now pass part of my hard work to my Relative Wei Lim.  Relax, I am still contributing but only the following subjects:

This blog you are reading OR subscribing now's Reached it's Milestone.  It's MADE FAMOUS By my Main Advertisers, GOOGLE and Nuffnang!  They were a good helper to Promote my Otoreview blog which started off Slowly in September 2006.  Back then, it was a Pathetic OR sad blog with merely 100 hits daily.  Today, I'm proud to announce that we have a consistent 2500 hits DAILY and our TOTAL Hit's Breached the Magical 1,000,000 (1 million mark) without me noticing (I think the 1,000,000th visitors/ blog-walkers came in Mid-January this year since it's now breacing 1,200,000 hits (OR 1.2 millions).

I know exactly who the Girl is because I dreamed of her shadow 2 nights ago.  She's standing on the edge of an opened door with "BLINDING backlights surrounding the door hence I cannot see who she really is.  But I can see her Hair Length (short - barely cover shoulder), Height (slightly over 5 feet tall) and VOLUPTUOUS Body shape (not Sexy but with "FRONT AND BACK BUMPERS" (Lame Jokes I know, but being a car freak (or enthusiasts) who loved to write about them it's pretty GOOD right?

 It is revealed that it's her, my Church Student group leader.  Name to be revealed in 6 months time (ie. on my Birthday on 13 August 2013!).  Watch this space!  Jefferson Lim signing off!  My Original Work...

My 1st cheque from NUFFNANG!!! Thanks NUFFNANG!!!

Today, 7 February 2011, I received my 1st cheque from my dear advertiser, NUFFNANG. Thank You NUFFNANG!!!   

 I was sad and happy.  "Sad" because I cashed out December 22 BUT the cheque came in AFTER Chinese New Year. (Ie. >30 days). Happy because it's RM315 and I just banked in the cheque.

70,006 Unique visitors and 87,808 Pageloads! As at 18 June 2009, 18:53 hours Thank you... Thank you for your support!!! Here's a short "speech" of the blog owner and editor, Jeff Lim (ie. me).

"This blog you are reading: "http://otoreview.blogspot.com" was launched in August 21 2006. I only posted 18 posts in the Inaugural year. In 2007, it was almost doubled at 32 posts. The following year in 2008, I managed to doubled my blog entries again at 67 blog entries. In 2009, I hoped to double the 2008 blog entries again... Watch this blog...

I hope you enjoy the "Unique" part of my blog. There were:
1) Best and worst resale value cars
2) "What car can you buy with these budgets?"
3) "LONGTERMERS" of my cars which I update monthly...

Note that, only 50 of the post entry (ie. slightly less than 1/3) are "my original work" which I am "VERY PROUD OF". Especially the LATEST entry, "In Memorium: Mazda Astina". 100% MY ORIGINAL WORK. Others are "copied" from other forums (eg. Lowyat forum/websites (eg. GoAuto Australia /magazines (eg. Highway Malaysia). Though it's "copied", I acknowledged their work, MAKE IT CLEAR that it is NOT MY ENTRY by giving "REFERENCING" (from 2008 onwards => HARVARD REFERENCING) and having the "SOURCES" listed out... Ie. I can still keep my head up!

Over the past 6 months, I've tried my best to produce more of "My Original work".
Now I need your help to enable me to produce more of "my original work". Can YOU ALLOW me to write a review on your car? It can be any car as long as it's USED. Alternatively, YOU REVIEW YOUR OWN CAR (see my blog label under "What's changed?" and send to me your article. I will acknowledge (give credit) your work.

Lastly, I'd like to thank my advertisers Google and especially Nuffnang. Nuffnang ROCKS man! You guys are Very Happening, especially the Advertisement contents. Wah! It even has "TIGER BEER", "Nike", "Honda" etc!!! The earnings are GREAT compared to "AHEM!".

Keep the ball rolling everyone and HELPED me to TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS about this blog. I HOPE I can expand this blog by adding a "FORUM" and having More Advertisers. The former (forum) is DIfficult as I can't find enough "MODERATORS" to kickstart it as I have a FULL TIME JOB to do (I'm a "PROPERTY SALESMAN"). This blog I created is my "HOBBY", hence I got no time to be a Moderator.

Besides hobby, This BLOG is also my "PORTFOLIO" which I am building as I hoped to be a Car Journalist someday.
