8d/7n Observation Cars in Yangon

I, Jefferson Lim was in Yangon, Myanmar for 8 days and 7 nights for Humanitarian Work. I liked the Simple Life of the Burmese, easily contented, most have Child-like faith.  The Clean, Fresh air – riding behind the Tuk-tuk or truck without needing a Face Mask.

I love Wagons.  Felt so Happy seeing so many JDM Wagons like Corolla Fielder, Caldina, Avensis, Ipsum, Nissan Wingroad.   Google told me Burma Began Driving on the Right side of the Road back in 1970.  So a bit sad, 90% of their cars driving on wrong side of the road.  90% of Burmese can only afford 3-7 years old reconditioned cars from Japan as New car reserved for the Rich or Military officials.

2. What did you learn about the country, people and culture?
1st thing I noticed, 90% of the Recond cars driving on wrong side on the road.  Which I Google and discovered Myanmar have the 2nd Highest Road Fatality Rate in The World.  Therefore, the Government is gradually banning RHD New Cars since 2015.

The Most popular New Car in Yangon's CKD Suzuki Carry and Ertiga in LHD.  The Most popular Recond cars are Toyota Corolla Fielder wagon.

This is a MUCH SAFER country than Malaysia, Pastor's Goddaughter’s luggage left at the back of the Hilux openly for 1 day, no one Steal.  If this is KL, within minutes it’ll be gone.  We can walk around in Yangon At night yet feel safe.  Something we can no longer enjoy in KL.  There are many Colonial buildings around Yangon City.

The Food’s a Blend of Thai, Indian and Chinese cuisine.  Burmese Enjoys Rice with Pork or Chicken with Soup and Curries OR Chillies very much.

I loved their version of Pork Vermicelli Noodles called “Khao Swe”.  Unique, Rich in ingredients and taste.
