VIDEOS++ Reviews: Porsche 993 Turbo

Videos+Specifications+Owner's Reviews: Porsche 911 993 Turbo.

In this blog entry, I'm reviewing my one of my 2 ULTIMATE DREAM CARS (the other being the McLaren F1), the Porsche 993 Turbo.

This 993 Turbo's the last of the air cooled 911's, it offers twin scroll turbocharged, 4-wheel drive, a computer controlled differential (passed on from the 959) and rock solid reliability which makes this an everyday supercar.
Is this the world's best all round usable supercar? The new 996 Turbo and subsequently 997 Turbo may have taken that crown but to many, this is the Best 911.

In Malaysia, I only managed to spot 1 unit of 993 Turbo for sale over the last 4 months.  It's a 1995 black unit UK Import with Service Record.  Asking RM380,000.
As usual, I don't have a car to test and brag about.  All is not lost, I dished out 5 Videos review and 1 Specification.

    1995 model for RM290K is cheap if the condition is mint. Should check it out. I saw a mint condition unit, sold for RM365K, everything was super great condition.

    993 Turbo is an amazing car...
    Anyone wanting to sell their 993 Turbo, please post their contact. I have a 996 Turbo and am not that impressed with the look, would like to get something more authentic Porsche. The 997 is nice, but i think the engine sounds sad and the overall fell is not there, too much technology, no longer spirited.

  4. Hi, Anonymous... Sorry it's my mistake. That 1995 model's actually Porsche 993 Carrera 4 with Turbo Bodykit. Asking RM290,000. I think a same year 993 Turbo should fetch at least RM350,000.

    I saw a really nice purple colored one on the KL streets, oh my, it sounded great. Better than any 996 or 997.
    It looked fast just sitting there, and the wide body was gorgeously stunning.

    I cannot stand the newer generation, mosquito sounding Ferraris. They may be a microscopic 0.001 sec faster, but the operational cost, and daily usability makes them quite hopeless.

    Yes yes... that would make sense, a 993 C4 wide body, asking RM290 if the condition is good. A good TURBO would set you back well over RM350, and if low mileage, could fetch upto RM400K. These are highly collectible.
    I missed out on that RM350K, condition was really great. 993 Turbo is only second to a 993 Turbo S.
    Have not seen any of those in Malaysia.
