MECHANICAL:
This is a Parallel hybrid. Powered by fuel injected 1339cc iVTEC+IMA it generates 65+10kw (88+14ps) and 121+78Nm combined torque. Total power and torque: 75kw (102ps) and 199Nm combined torque. This figures's equivalent to 1600cc (power) and 2000cc (torque) car. Mated with CVT and Paddle shift.
How the hybrid works:
1) Start/Acceleration: Both motor and engine activated together
2) Low speed cruising: Vehicle cruises on electric motor power alone. All cylinders stopped.
3) Acceleration: Electric motor assist the engine = powerful acceleration.
4) High speed cruising: Engine run alone, electric motor stopped
5) Braking: Electric motor recharges IMA battery using inertia caused in braking. All cylinder stop to enlarge the charging efficiency.
6) Standstill: Idling stops automatically to saves fuel and exhaust gas. Engine does not stop in certain conditions.
