"What made him so unusual is he developed, literally, hundreds of cars. This guy was 89 years old and he was still developing cars," Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, said in his comments about Shelby, as reported byAssociated Press.
Shelby was very innovative and did what he liked. He did not restrict himself to anything and took new challenges very passionately. Caroll Shelby also worked with Ford for designing cars. His death is being considered as a big loss by the company. "Carroll Shelby is one of the most recognized names in performance car history, and he's been successful at everything he's done. Whether helping Ford dominate the 1960s racing scene or building some of the most famous Mustangs, his enthusiasm and passion for great automobiles over six decades has truly inspired everyone who worked with him," the company statement says, as reported in the same AP report.
Shelby was always very energetic to bring in new models and did not feel tired at any point. He always had something different and innovative for the people and his designs were a special treat for the people. He also worked in military and ran a poultry business.
