I didn't know until today that a Mini Cooper (with puny120hp and 160Nm torque) costs RM199,000, Mini Cabriolet (same engine as Mini Cooper) costs RM250,000, Mini Cooper S and Mini Cooper S Coupe both with 184hp@5500rpm/ 260Nm@1600-5000rpm costs RM250,000 (The Price of BMW F30 320d) and lastly Mini Countryman (same hp and torque as Mini Cooper S) costs A WHOOPING RM286,000 (The price of BMW F30 328i and BMW X1). All the above price were EXCLUDING INSURANCE which costs about RM5,000 more.
Other than the Cooper S and Cooper S Coupe which goes from 0-100km/h in 7.2secs and 224km/h top speed, other Mini were SLOW. The Cooper goes from 0-100km/h in pathetic 10.4 secs and even worse 11.1 secs for Cabrio. Top speed 197km/h and 190km/h respectively.
Guess the Brand MINI was elevated from People's car in the 1960s to "LUXURY ICONIC FASHION STATEMENT CAR" by BMW ever since they took over this MARQUE from MG Rover in 2000. But admittedly, they were indeed FUN to drive on road and track.
