LONGTERMER #3, Vol 10: Proton Waja 1.6 4G18(A)

In this blog entry, I'm updating my daily ride, Proton Waja 4G18 (A) 2001. This is the 10th update and happened to be my 14th month owning this car.  Sorry for late update, 10 days later than promised in the Previous Update (Mid July), busy for my Sister's wedding preparations which ended last Saturday.

On the month Of August, there's nothing much to highlight except I bought the Engine Oil, Castrol Magnatec at RM90 in PH Auto Supplies, Sea Park and touch and go top up.  On 22 August, I fixed my jammed rear right door.

The handles, apparently 2 of the locking Cables snapped RM100 to fix.  Also, changed the front left foglights to Hella (RM20 poorer).

I spent a lot this month (September).  Firstly, Touch up paint+Solvent (to remove the rust)+Clear coat.  Total RM21.90+?+? = RM42.90.  Forgotten the other 2 pricings.  I managed to touched up Scratched and dented part myself but the result's pretty ugly.  See photos below: (to be uploaded when I found my handphone data cable).
Uploaded 27/9/2012, 2030hrs.

Secondly, I bought LAMBDA Engine Cleaner Set.  It consists of Lambda Oil Primer (Engine flush) (- see Video below for demo) and Lambda Tank Otto (Fuel Injection Cleaner).  1 Set costs RM85 from a Lowyat forummer. Bought from the same guy who Reflashed my Car 2 months ago. (Photos below)

The results?  The former this morning just flushed, to be update in 2 months time, the latter, tried yesterday.  It achieved INSTANT Improvement in Acceleration and car felt lighter and rev happier than ever before.

Lambda Oil Primer Demo Video:

FINALLY, this morning I performed an oil change.  Last service October 20 2011, 9000km ago.  That's like 11 months ago.  The Engine oil drained looks Very black (didn't manage to take photo as the mechanic poured into a Recycle tank before I managed to capture it).

Finger's crossed, after the Lambda Primer and Fuel treatment set and New Oil change, Fuel Consumption'll be better.  Will update you in 2 months time for the results.
