CLOSE UP: Peugeot 308 Turbo...

In this blog entry, I'm posting lots and lots of photos of the New Peugeot 308 Turbo which I checked out this afternoon.  The NEW Peugeot 308 Turbo's facelifted just in time for the KL International Motor Show back in November last year.  The Final OTR Price for Peninsular Malaysia are as followed:
RM118,888.00.

The new Peugeot 308 THP (Turbo High Pressure) VVT (Variable valve timing) facelift now gained 16hp from 140hp to 156hp@ 6000rpm though torque remained the same at 240Nm @ 1400rpm - 4000rpm.  It also comes with a new 6 speed tiptronic gearbox contributing to higher fuel efficiency.

Braking department:  Front Ventilated discs and rear solid discs, ABS + EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) + EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) + Traction Control + DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) = Electronic Stability Program (ESP).  While the steering type's Elecro-hydraulic variable power steering.

The car comes with 17" 5 spoke alloy rims + "225/45R17" Continental Conti-sport 3 tyres.

Entertainment on the go comes standard with RDS Radio/MP3/CD player with 6 speakers, USB, AUX input and Bluetooth Connectivity.  In the comfort department, there's Dual Zone Automatic Air-conditioning for both front and rear passengers.

Safety-wise, it's loaded with 6 airbags (the passenger Airbag has "ON/OFF" Switch), cruise control with a speed limiter function and Electronic Stability Program for a secure drive. In addition, this car also equipped with 2x ISOFIX anchor point for child seats, 3 point rear seat  belts. Daytime running lights, "Follow me home" headlights, Auto headlight on, Automatic rain sensing wipers.

Other useful features are:
60:40 split fold rear seats, Air-conditioned glove box, Immobiliser, Remote universal window openings, PANORAMIC SUNROOF (Full length) with electronically controlled retractable blind, Rear parking sensors and front and rear foglights, 430L Boot space.

How fast and how fuel efficient?

PERFORMANCE and ECONOMY:

Top speed: 212km/h
0-100km/h in 9.1 secs
Combined cycle: 7.6l/100km
Fuel tank: 60l

Unfortunately, I don't get to test drive though test drive's available (I forgotten to bring my IC and driving license) when I visited the TTDI Showroom.

There's a saying a picture's worth 1000 words.  Here are the pictures:

 SPECIAL THANKS TO:
Mr YAP and his son, Aik Meng.  I was there when they took delivery of the White 308 Turbo.  They were kind enough to let me sit on their car.  Hopefully, I can meet up with them again after Chinese New Year to test drive their car.

ANY RECOMMENDED SALESMAN?

I went to NASIM TTDI Plaza Showroom.  Apparently ALL THEIR SALES EXECUTIVE were GOOD.  ONE Particular sales executive's a STANDOUT.  He Delivered 3 Peugeot 308 Turbo to new owners in a ROW.  Very busy man.  So busy that he "IGNORED ME" after ALL the deliveries. VERY GOOD BUT NO CIGAR form ME.

PARTING WORDS:  I LOVED THIS CAR.  It's ALMOST PERFECT.  FULLY LOADED.  Highly recommended.  Though if I have the money, it's either FORD FOCUS TDCI (RM126,888 after NCB discount) or THIS CAR (RM118,888.00).  Decisions decisions...

That's all folks, thanks for having the time and patience to read this blog entry.  An original Jeff Lim's production.  My original work.
