600th post: NEW changes to this blog...
In the next 2 months, I shall create a Forum and Facebook page. As I observed in Lowyat and Motortrader forum, there's a few of you popped the following questions:
1) Vios/Mazda 2/Fiesta/Forte 1.6/Persona 1.6. What car shall I buy?
2) Accord/Camry/508/Mazda6/Mondeo. What car shall I buy?
3) Which MPV below RM150k shall I buy?
4) I have RM200k, what car shall I buy?
5) I have RM50k, shall I buy new or used?
I'm here to provide a solution to your needs. I shall provide "Free" service (by appointment AT LEAST 7 days in advance). I will accompany OR bring you to TEST DRIVE ALL your shortlists in 1 day and help you to buy your Ideal car. This service is for Klang Valley only as I'm now a 1 man show. Just E-mail me your Details at otoreview@gmail.com. Eg.

70,000th+ Unique Visitors (87,808 pageloads)... THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
"This blog you are reading: "http://otoreview.blogspot.com" was launched in August 21 2006. I only posted 18 posts in the Inaugural year. In 2007, it was almost doubled at 32 posts. The following year in 2008, I managed to doubled my blog entries again at 67 blog entries. In 2009, I hoped to double the 2008 blog entries again... Watch this blog...
I hope you enjoy the "Unique" part of my blog. There were:
1) Best and worst resale value cars
2) "What car can you buy with these budgets?"
3) "LONGTERMERS" of my cars which I update monthly...
Note that, only 50 of the post entry (ie. slightly less than 1/3) are "my original work" which I am "VERY PROUD OF". Especially the LATEST entry, "In Memorium: Mazda Astina". 100% MY ORIGINAL WORK. Others are "copied" from other forums (eg. Lowyat forum/websites (eg. GoAuto Australia /magazines (eg. Highway Malaysia). Though it's "copied", I acknowledged their work, MAKE IT CLEAR that it is NOT MY ENTRY by giving "REFERENCING" (from 2008 onwards => HARVARD REFERENCING) and having the "SOURCES" listed out... Ie. I can still keep my head up!
Over the past 6 months, I've tried my best to produce more of "My Original work".
Now I need your help to enable me to produce more of "my original work". Can YOU ALLOW me to write a review on your car? It can be any car as long as it's USED. Alternatively, YOU REVIEW YOUR OWN CAR (see my blog label under "What's changed?" and send to me your article. I will acknowledge (give credit) your work.
Lastly, I'd like to thank my advertisers Google and especially Nuffnang. Nuffnang ROCKS man! You guys are Very Happening, especially the Advertisement contents. Wah! It even has "TIGER BEER", "Nike", "Honda" etc!!! The earnings are GREAT compared to "AHEM!".
Keep the ball rolling everyone and HELPED me to TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS about this blog. I HOPE I can expand this blog by adding a "FORUM" and having More Advertisers. The former (forum) is DIfficult as I can't find enough "MODERATORS" to kickstart it as I have a FULL TIME JOB to do (I'm a "PROPERTY SALESMAN"). This blog I created is my "HOBBY", hence I got no time to be a Moderator.
Besides hobby, This BLOG is also my "PORTFOLIO" which I am building as I hoped to be a Car Journalist someday. In other words, I created this "PORTFOLIO" because I don't have a Degree or "ANY PAPER QUALIFICATIONS" needed to be a journalist... Here's hoping someone might "employ" me as a part timer or contributor. DOn't worry, "CHEAP LABOUR" here...
That's all folks, thanks for having the patient to "READ THRU' THIS...
In a meantime, I have few photos...

Above: 70,004 hits - Unique visitors... Oh! Also, "THIS IS AN ALL MALAYSIAN BLOG!" as you can see in the picture above.

Above, Pageloads... and Below, my LATEST Hits over the last 7 days. Note: Consistent visitors...

Above: Visitor statistics from 2006 to June 2009...
THE END... Again, Thanks for having the time and patience to read this...

ASSISTANT NEEDED for this blog & Importance of Car Spec's...
I'm disappointed that MOST current Malaysian car publications seems to exclude/Ignored car specifications.
- CARS.MY used to have car specifications in the 1st few issues, they seems to exclude it by issue 10.
- Asian auto dropped the detailed Specifications @ 2001, since Mel Lee left the publications.
- AUTO INTERNATIONAL also joined the bandwagon. Latest issue (march 07) have NO MORE Car SPECIFICATIONS... Used to enjoyed their car specifications...
- HYPERTUNE: Well, they are focusing on DIY, Modified Cars, Chicks and Car accessories stuff so I'm not surprised...
- CARMA, well what do you expect from RM5 (as at December 06) car magazine... Again, No car specifications.
- The saving grace is AUTOCAR ASEAN and GET@CAR, Autocar ASEAN have DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS, but normally on Cars tested in UK, mostly not available in Malaysia, for cars on sale in Malaysia, their specification's pretty brief. For GET@CAR, the specifications's there but again, it's quite brief... Well, AT LEAST it's better than nothing...
Let me tell you why car specifications is important. Say, Mitsubishi Triton OR SSANGYONG REXTON, Besides performance, Power/Torque, I need to know the Dimensions of the car, especially Length and width of the car. This is to see whether it can fit into my Porch and for side parking allowance. Also, the Weight is to calculate the Power/Weight and turning circle of the car, to . IT MIGHT NOT BE IMPORTANT for Normal cars, but for BIG CARS/SUV/TRUCK, it's ESSENTIAL...
ALSO, for the benefits of our friends studying Automotive Engineering, they need to know the BorexStroke, Compression ratio, Gear ratio and stuff...
WELL, knowing Mr.Mel Lee (of CARS.MY) which is famous for insisting he's right, he'll probably argue that "YOU CAN GET IT (the specifications) from its SHOWROOM". TYPICALLY, for most car salesman, entering their showroom = ready to buy/commit. BUT I only need the car/trucks specifications. Get the scenario?
Oh! Mr Mel, According to your ISSUE 4 of Cars.my (where you have S2000 as cover), in the subscription corner, there's this "ANNUAL BUYER'S GUIDE" promise (is it to subscribers only?), where is it... I've been waiting since 2001!!! I've been buying CARS.MY from Issue 1 to Issue 40, I stopped buying because your magazine is kinda WEIRD. I mean, what's a COMPARISON without the "SIDE BY SIDE Specifications" of the subject cars... ALSO, the Hyundai Getz review, this joker writer supposingly "OWNER" of Getz SCRUTINISED the NEW GETZ 1.4 badly... Being FRANK is one thing, but this is too MUCH! Shows that you're ungrateful to the KIND Distributor which provides the car for you to assess...
Also, some SUPERCARS's hard to find specifications. What is the point for reviewing a supercar without its specifications (eg. ASIAN AUTO Lamborghini review, another publication's Pagani ZONDA review). Nuff Said...

The Concept of this blog...
The purpose of this blog is reviewing used cars with specifications. The concept is it is going to be the interactive way!
I will kick start the review by giving my own impressions of a car and if I can’t give review, I’ll just upload the specifications and I want YOU!!! Visitors of this blog especially car owner(s) of the subject car to review the car by sending me the e-mail of your review and I will upload it… Don’t worry; I will acknowledge your work. But I will only post the 1st two reviews for non-national cars and 1st 4 reviews for National-cars in my blog…
EMAIL ME YOUR REVIEWS AT: otoreview@gmail.com
Oh! For Amateur Car reviewers only as the purpose of this blog is also showcasing the talents of amateurs only. Professional car magazine journalist(s) review(s) is/are discouraged.
I am also accepting “R.O.D” = Review on Demand. Ie. YOU!!! Visitors request a car for review (eg. Honda CRV) or the specifications and I will review it. Again, if I can’t review I will just give the specifications and invite the “owner” of the “requested car(s)” to review…
I also invite reviewers of used cars from our neighbouring countries, Indonesia and Singapore. But this time I won’t start the review or post the specifications, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. You are free to post your reviews on any car + the specifications as well. Again, by sending e-mail of your review to me and I will blog it and acknowledge your work…
The format of the review is up to you, 7 page maximum (as seen in Ms Word). But must include elements on:
i) Interior/Exterior
ii) Drivability@ On the road (include ride and handling, performance
iii) Ownership experience/proposition (eg. Maintenance, memorable experience with the car, what you add to your car++, AND would you recommend this car to other people?
iv) Fuel consumption (in mpg or Km/litre)
v) Pictures are limited to 2 interior, 2 exterior and 1 engine.
NOTE: ++ => Please don’t give me the details of what you modify to your car. This is a used car review blog NOT a car tuning or modification blog. Just a summary of:
i) Essential areas such as engine + gearbox (eg. From Mitsubishi 4G15 1.5 to 4G93 1.8 turbo, port and polished, 1 bar boost, auto to manual, LSD etc).
ii) Ride and handling enhancements (eg. suspension, rims & tyres)
iii) Brakes (eg. Cross drilled, rear drums to discs).
If possible DON'T need to cover "NON-essential" enhancements (such as In Car Entertainment (ICE), snake skin leather), or visual enhancements such as Bodykit/Paintworks (including Airbrush, 3k paint), etc… UNLESS YOUR CAR IS 100% STOCK w/o modifications and nothing to say in "ESSENTIAL" areas.
